Terms & Conditions - Fine Print
A good level of fitness and mobility is required. If you can climb 4 flights of stairs in one ascent in a timely manner without assistance your fitness will be adequate.
You need to be able to get in and out of a helicopter unassisted (like getting in a 4WD vehicle - come and visit us to have a practice run if unsure!).
You will be walking for 1 hour (2 hrs for Premium Tour) on the island, the ground is uneven, there are several steps and no areas to sit down. You must be able to keep up with your group tour.
There are toilets at departure and a portable toilet on the island.
There is no drinking water available on the island - please take your own.
No food to be taken onto the island and only water may be taken, please do not leave rubbish on the island.
Safety briefing given in English - you need to be able to understand the safety briefing and be able to follow emergency procedures. Precision Helicopters staff will be coordinating safety around both helicopters and it is important that you follow their instructions at all times.
Weight Considerations - please advise us if you weight over 100kg, this is for weight and balance limitations of the helicopter and for passenger comfort.
Sturdy, flat footwear must be worn. No thongs, slip on sandals or inappropriate footwear.
Infants under 12 months of age can be carried on the lap of a parent. Only one infant per flight which consists of one group of 4 family/friends.
Ticket/seat can be transferred to another person - please notify us with name change ASAP.
You will be refused carriage and no refunds given if:
You arrive late and miss your helicopter safety briefing, you will not be allowed to fly.
You cannot understand the safety briefing and follow safety instructions.
You are drunk or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you will not be allowed to fly.
You are wearing thongs / slip on sandals or inappropriate footwear.
You cannot walk 150 metres in 10 minutes from the check-in point to the helicopter departure point. Your fitness and health is deemed tentative and poses a risk to yourself or staff.
You cannot get in or out of the helicopter unassisted.
No refunds given unless tour cancelled by Precision Helicopters or NPWS. Credit card fees will not be refunded.
Tour may be rescheduled to alternate time / day if weather delays your booked tour, please ensure a contact phone number is provided for that day.
Commercial Photography: If you are interested in a tour of South Solitary Island for the purpose of commercial filming or photography, you need to complete a NPWS filming or photography application.
Commercial filming and photography means any filming or photography principally intended for public viewing which may or may not be undertaken for financial gain. Commercial filming includes advertisements, feature films, TV drama, documentaries, educational films, Government sponsored filming and tourism promotions.
Commercial photography includes images for magazines, postcards, promotional material, books and advertisements and the commercial photography of private events.
